OnFoods foundation is born. Will work to support the development of Italian agribusiness

OnFoods, a foundation within one of the 14 partnerships envisaged by the NRP, in the area of "Models for Sustainable Food," was presented at the University of Parma, providing funding to member entities of 114.5 million euros for project activities in fundamental and industrial research and experimental development.

The Foundation will work synergistically to achieve over 36 months strategic goals in line with those of the NRP, the Horizon Europe Research Framework Program, and in line with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (SDGs).OnFoods, through a new model for sustainable food, is committed to generating a tangible impact on people's well-being and health, helping to ensure access to adequate nutrition for all, and preserving the Planet.

The 26 members of the OnFoods Foundation are 7 private companies (Barilla, Bolton Food, CirFood, De' Longhi, Sacco System, Tecnoalimenti; Confcooperative as Hub Member), 12 entities supervised by the Ministry of University and Research (Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna, National Research Council, Polytechnic University of Milan, Sapienza University of Rome, University of Bari Aldo Moro, University of Catania, University of Milan, University of Milan-Bicocca, University of Parma, University of Pavia, University of Naples Federico II, University of Pisa) and 7 Universities and Research Institutes not supervised by the Mur (National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development, Council for Research in Agriculture and Analysis of Agricultural Economics, Edmund Mach Foundation, Mario Negri Pharmacological Research Institute, Neuromed Mediterranean Neurological Institute, Free University of Bolzano, Catholic University of the Sacred Heart).
