12 of the 53 Italian startups that participated in this year's CES have been selected by PitchForce to present their business idea to an exclusive panel of Angel Investors and Venture Capitalists. This is announced in a statement.

PitchForce is part of a series of weekly events dedicated to raising funds for emerging tech companies in the software, social, mobile, big data, consumer web, fintech, biotech and medtech sectors. Only 10 startups per month are selected to participate.

The selected startups have the opportunity to present - in one minute and in "elevator pitch" mode (a short speech within the time limits of an elevator ride) - their company and meet a network of investors during the hour following the elevator pitch. Participants will then be able to vote for their favorite startups and the five that will have obtained the most votes will have access to the next phase that foresees the presentation to the panel of investors and VCs. Investors and VCs will decide the most promising startup, for which a meeting with a Venture Capitalist will be organized.
