The event, organized by AmCham Italy (American Chamber of Commerce in Italy), assigned the "Transatlantic Award" to the best investments on the transatlantic axis. The award ceremony aimed at highlighting those companies which, during the past year, have contributed to strengthening the bond between Italy and the United States.

The event was held in digital mode and part of the proceeds raised (through sponsors and supporters and guest registration) will be donated to the Association "Let's rehabilitate a Sacco" for the funding of the initiative "For technological innovation at the Sacco Hospital for patients with COVID-19".

One of the first to speak to inaugurate the event was Simone Crolla, Managing Director of AmCham Italy, and he explained how American multinationals have done so much in this difficult time. "We are here today to begin to tell a little piece of what will come "after" the pandemic - he said - the fruit of the many courageous American investments in Italy and American investments in the U.S. that are beginning to draw what will be our new normalcy".

The host, the President of AmCham Italy Luca Arnaboldi, spoke about the satisfaction of having been able to celebrate the fifteenth Transatlantic Award in spite of the digital route and added: "Since the first event fifteen years ago until today, millions of dollars of investment from the US have arrived in our country and just as many in the opposite direction. Launching excellence is the goal of the Transatlantic Award and the event rewards the tangible effort of brotherhood between the two countries".

Among the many participants, the President of the Consiglio Superiore di Sanità, Prof. Locatelli, also spoke: "Once again a friendship and collaboration is celebrated, a relationship extraordinarily structured over the years between two such important countries".

Among the various "winners" of the Digital Transatlantic Award were: Pietro Salini - CEO Webuild for the high-speed railway line that will connect Dallas and Houston in Texas; Sherif Rizkalla CEO of SUPERNAP Italia, the most advanced datacenter in Southern Europe; Dr. Giuseppe Bono, CEO of FINCANTIERI S.p.A. and Oliver Krause, Director of Analytics at Parma.
