Vice President of the Italian Red Cross enters the Honor Committee of The Watson Society

The Watson Society recognizes every year people who distinguish for his excellence and who has had a significant positive impact on the Italian-american community.

The award was established in 2014 and since then every awarded person joined The Watson Society Honor Committee becoming an TWS honorary member.

"An honor, and a pleasure, to communicate - said The Watson Society's President Carmelo Cutuli - that this year our Association decided to appoint Vice President of the Italian Red Cross, Rosario Valastro, as a new honorary member of The Watson Society and a notable member of our Honor Committee".

Rosario Valastro is a Lawyer at the Supreme Court, being elected in 2016 as Vice President of the Italian Red Cross (CRI).

Graduated from the Law School of the University of Catania, he holds a Master's Degree in Science of Public Administration at University of Catania and a Second level Master in Law of the European Union and of Migration at University "Tor Vergata" in Rome.

In his career as a notable member of the Italian Red Cross, he have had covered many important roles. He was President of Red Cross Youth National School, Member of "Youth Steering Committee for the organisation of the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Youth Meeting" (IFRC Secretariat), Red Cross representative at Youth National Council and Member of European Coordination Committee.
